Dead Tree Removed in Yard of Historic House

The Historical Society of Watertown would like to thank Joe and Kathy Butler of Butler & Sons Tree Service for taking down another dying tree in the back yard at the Edmund Fowle House. Dead or damaged trees pose a danger to our property for they could come down during a storm and do damage to our historic 1772 house.

The tree was located in the back yard along the fence between the 1870s addition and the shed.

This is not the first time Butler & Sons Tree Service has donated their time and effort to the Historical Society. They have taken down other trees for us and last year donated and planted a Stewartia tree in the side yard.

We heartily thank Joe and Kathy Butler for their generous donations and community spirit. We highly recommend contacting Butler and Sons Tree Service at 617-924-8322 for your future tree needs.
