- Survived by: wife, Shirley J. (Miller) Mullahy; sons, Michael C. Mullahy and his wife Josslyn of Mansfield, Brian M. Mullahy and his wife Jeanne of OH; daughter, Kelly A. Sullivan and her husband Joseph of Watertown.
He is also survived by his sister, Barbara A. Russell of Marlborough; his brother, Richard M. Mullahy of FL; and his grandchildren, Sarah, Michael, and Owen Mullahy, Molly and Annie Mullahy, and Bridget Sullivan.
Born in Boston, Mr. Mullahy was the son of the late Michael J. and Sarah (Goodwin) Mullahy.
He was a lifelong Watertown resident and a graduate of Saint Patrick High School. He attended Newman Preparatory School and graduated from Boston College in the Class of 1962. He was an accountant and worked for many years at the Carroll School for the Blind in Newton. Even after his “retirement” he returned to his accounting duties and was still affiliated with the Carroll School.
He had served in the Massachusetts National Guard during the 1960s, and he and his wife were members of Club 50 at the Watertown Savings Bank. He enjoyed his grandchildren, gardening, and sports, especially Boston College Hockey.
The funeral will be from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, 270 Main St., on Rte. 20, Watertown, on Wednesday, May 16 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in the Church of Saint Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown. Interment will be St. Patrick Cemetery, Belmont Street, Watertown. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
