He is also survived by his brother, John Neshe of Waltham; his grandchildren, Daniel Peter Grey, Michele Grey, and Brian MacNeil; his step-grandchildren, Elizabeth Suter, Katie Suter, Maya Griffith, and Nolan Griffith; and by his great-grandchildren, Christopher Grey, Nichole Grey, Candace DeFeo, Michael Grey, and Danielle Grey.
He was the husband of the late Esther T. (Musto) Neshe.
He was also the brother of the late Mary Mele, August Neshe, and Dorothy McBee.
Born and raised in Watertown, Mr. Neshe was a son of the late Domenico and Domenica (Servello) Neshe.
Throughout his life, Mr. Neshe was active in the life of Watertown, serving on organizations as Treasurer that included the Watertown Art Association and the Watertown Center for the Arts of which he was a Founding Father. On June 10, 2008, he received a Proclamation from the Town of Watertownhonoring his 90th birthday and declaring June 17th "Peter Neshe Day." For many years he also assisted at the Hope Church in Framingham.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, 270 Main St., on Rte. 20, Watertown. Interment will be in Saint Patrick Cemetery on Belmont St., Watertown. Calling hours at the Funeral Home will be on Friday, April 27 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to the services.
