Five Things You Need to Know Today: Jan. 12

Planning Board meeting, folk dancing and a computer class at the library.

  1. The Planning Board meets tonight at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers in Town Hall. Cases to be heard include a request to put an addition on the St. Stephen's School and the request to build a climbing center at Acton Street and Roslindale Road.
  2. Folk Arts Center of New England will hold a folk dance program tonight at 8 p.m. at First Parish of Watertown. Prior international folk dance experience is helpful, but many dances can be followed by watching the leaders.
  3. The Watertown Free Public Library offers a computer class tonight at 6:30 p.m.  This week's class is Intro to PC. Space is limited.
  4. Watertown High School's boys' basketball team hosts Hampton Charter School tonight at 7 p.m.
  5. St. James Armenian Church host a multi-age drop-in playgroup today at 9:30 a.m.
