Five Things You Need to Know Today: Jan. 23

School Committee meets, screwball comedy at the library and Rep. Hecht meets with residents.

 

 

  1. The School Committee meets tonight at 7 p.m. in the Council Chamber in Town Hall. The board will discuss the budget making process.
  2. January is screwball comedy month at the Watertown Free Public Library. Tonight's film is "It Happened One Night" starring Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert, starting at 6:30 p.m.
  3. State Rep. Jonathan Hecht will hold office hours today from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Watertown Free Public Library. Constituents are invited to meet with Rep. Hecht to discuss pending legislation or any other issue of concern to them.
  4. The Watertown Senior Center runs a bridge group today at 12:30 p.m. at the center.
  5. Stellina Restaurant hosts local jazz musicians tonight from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. There is no cover charge, and no reservations are needed.
