Five Things You Need to Know Today: March 26

School Budget public hearing, authors speak at the Arsenal Center and a senior exercise class.

 
  1. The School Committee will hold its public hearing on the Fiscal 2013 budget. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. tonight in Town Hall. 
  2. The Arsenal Center for the Arts presents Text and Context, a series by writers and artists about craft and the creative process. Tonight's guests are author Sue Standing and artist Laurie Armenti.
  3. Seniors looking to keep active can go to the Watertown Senior Center for the "It's Never Too Late to Get Moving" class. The program includes muscle strengthening, light stretching, and low impact aerobics, and is focused on the needs of seniors in a fun and safe environment. The class runs from 11 a.m. to noon, and costs $3 per class.
  4. The Watertown Free Public Library will show blockbuster film on their big screen tonight at 6:30 p.m.  
  5. St. Patrick's Family Outreach hosts an event for all mothers and fathers with children up to the age of 5. The group meets from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
