Four Arrested on Prostitution, Robbery Charges Connected to an Incident in Watertown
Three women and a man were arrested after an escort and her "John" got into an argument.
A Chadbourne Terrace resident got more than he bargained for when he invited an escort to his home on Aug. 4.
Police went to the area after neighbors reported a disturbance in the street at 11:53 p.m. When they arrived they discovered the incident was linked to a prostitution call gone array.
A 32-year-old man from Chadbourne Terrace allegedly called an escort he found on Backpage.com, and invited her over. One suspect, identified as Saleeta N. "When the man refused she punched him in the right eye and a scuffle ensued," Lawn said.
Cross then took out a cell phone, placed a call and moments later two women and a man came into the apartment.
"They began to beat the victim up," Lawn said. "The male had a shovel and struck the victim in the head multiple times. They took the man's wallet which contained $200 in cash and a laptop belonging to the victim's roommate."
The four suspects left in a silver minivan. Police got a description of the vehicle and a partial plate, Lawn said, and a few minutes later they stopped a minivan on Mt. Auburn St. Along with Cross, police found Jessica Alise Galiano, 25, of Boston, and Ashley M. Celester, 20, of Boston, in the minivan.
The male suspect, who ran away on from the scene, was found 3:23 a.m. at Perfection Towing on Pleasant Street. He was identified a Dennis Aaron Levy, 25, of Boston.
Cross, of 2 Waverly St. Apt. 309 in Roxbury, faces charges of sexual conduct for a fee, armed robbery, home invasion, larceny of over $250, and a warrant from New Hampshire for robbery, Lawn said.
Galiano, of 53 Cookson Terrace Apt. 1 in Boston, faces charges of carrying a dangerous weapon - a knife, armed robbery, home invasion, larceny of over $250 and a warrant from Hingham District Court for fare evasion, Lawn said.
