Man Arrested in Dedham Suspect in String of Watertown Break Ins
The man may have been responsible for breaking into up to 15 home in town earlier this year.
A man arrested recently in Dedham is the Watertown Police Department's prime suspect in a string of home break ins that targeted elderly residents.
Dedham Police arrested Anthony D. Andullerro, 52, of Dorchester, on two counts of unarmed robbery and of four counts of breaking and entering on Aug. 20. Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn said Andullerro may soon face charges linked to a string of house robberies from February to May.
"We believe we have a strong suspect for the break ins in Watertown," Lawn said. "We are waiting for results from the state Crime Lab."
Andullero could be tied to between 10 to 15 break ins and attempted break ins, Lawn said.
The crimes focused on elderly residents, and the suspect would cut screens on back doors and windows to enter the homes, sometimes when the residents were still there.
Andullero was also arrested in Newton in May, and allegedly tried to escape on an MBTA bus.
