Stressed from work or life in general? Here's a few places to unwind

  • - This spa, located on Spring Street in Watertown, opened it’s door in May 2007 and offers Watertown residents an assortment of different stress relief packages from Swedish massages to manicures, pedicures and facials. For groups interested in an unorthodox birthday or bridal party or corporate gathering, Tranquility Day Spa offers a “spa party” package that allows the group to bring food and drink and have the place to themselves for an entire morning or afternoon.
  • Spring Rain Spa - This Waltham-based organic skin-care spa boasts a tranquil, extremely relaxed setting for it’s holistic and vintage style facials, foot and hand treatments, full body massages and make-up treatments and consultations. The experienced staff at Spring Rain incorporate traditional European techniques and innovative American skincare treatments by using the combination of organic herbs and essential oils.
  • Blondie Salon and Spa - Blondie Spa in Waltham offers a variety of services, specializing in cutting edge hair styles but also manicures, pedicures, and massages. The spa opened in October 2002 and since that time the space has prided itself on a professional staff who are always looking to stay current on the latest spa trends and styles. The spa specializes in anti-aging treatments and different skin-care for problem areas. Blondie’s features a 25 percent discount for first time clients and a referral policy in which existing customers receive 10 “Blondie Bucks” for each referral.
  • The Spa at the   - The Mt. Auburn Club, a fitness and wellness center on Coolidge Avenue in Watertown that features a full-length pool, tennis courts and fitness center also boasts a first-rate spa. The club is members only but the spa is open to the public. Those entering the spa can choose between “traditional Western services, time-honored Eastern practices and luxurious body-treatments.” The spa specializes in sports massages for various ailments and injuries.
