Tedeschi Market Robbed During Super Bowl

Man passed a note saying he had a gun, took cash and ran away.

 

 

Just as the Super Bowl was kicking off Sunday night, a man came into Tedeschi Market on Main Street and passed the clerk a note saying "I have a gun" and took off with cash from the store.

Watertown Police were called at 6:38 p.m., Sunday, about an robbery at Tedeschi, at 164 Main St. The man, who wore a red hooded sweatshirt and a black bandanna over his face, passed the clerk his note and said "Give me all of your money," said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.

"He ran out of store, westbound on Main Street toward Chestnut Street," Lawn said. "Police were able to locate a red hooded sweatshirt on Chestnut Street. A search of area was negative. Police are investigating the incident."

The suspect is a white male with olive colored skin, 5-foot-7-inches tall, and wore a red hooded sweatshirt, black pants, a black winter hat and a black bandanna, Lawn said.
