Town Councilors will consider a resolution on the fiscal 2013 budget process - next year's budget - during their regular meeting tonight at 7:15 p.m. in Town Hall.

The resolution sets up a time line for the budget process, which includes:

• Presentation of the budget to the Town Council on Oct. 25, 2011
• Adoption of budget police guidelines by Dec. 13, 2011
• A proposed Capital Improvement Program for 2013-17 presented to the Town Council by Jan. 10, 2012, and
• Adoption of conceptual recommendations for the 2013-17 Capital Improvement Plan by March 13, 2012.

The dates are essentially the same ones used by the Council for the fiscal 2012 budget, which was adopted in June.
