Toyota of Watertown Trying to 'Wipe Out Breast Cancer'
The dealership will sell special windshield wipers from AutoTex and a portion of the sale will go to fight breast cancer.
Toyota of Watertown seeks to “Wipe Out Breast Cancer” by teaming up with AutoTex Pink.
A portion of the proceeds from each sale of the windshield wipers will be donated by AutoTex Pink to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Customers coming to the dealership's service department can buy the windshield wipers, which come in a traditional black metal frame with a small pink ribbon to denote the cause. They also come in full pink color for those who wish to make a bolder statement.
When Toyota of Watertown heard about AutoTex Pink, they were thrilled to find something that could tie to their company’s value set and concern for the community, according to a release from Toyota of Watertown.
“We are very thrilled to be a part of something so powerful,” says Gene Stewart Robbins, Master Certified Service Director. “Our dealership is surrounded by such a great community and by selling these in Toyota of Watertown, we have the opportunity to give back to a charity that supports breast cancer research.
"These blades come in really nice packaging-perfect for a gift! Everyone needs wiper blades, why not purchase a pair for yourself or a friend that are high quality and support a cause that affects so many today.”
AutoTex Pink blades are premium, OEM quality blades that fit over 98 percent of all vehicles - not just Toyotas, according to the release.
