Watertown Police Log: Attempted Home Break in, Theft from Storage Shed
The following arrest information was supplied by the Watertown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Arrests
Jan. 7, 4:40 p.m.: Police went to Mt. Auburn Street for a welfare check, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. Dean E. Kenny, 47, of 805 Mt. Auburn St. Apt. 18 in Watertown, was arrested on a charge of violating a restating order.
Jan. 8, 4:56 a.m.: Police dealt were called to a domestic incident on Edenfield Avenue, Lawn said. Jasmin B. Pellegrino, 27, of 80 Edenfield Ave. in Watertown, was arrested on charges of assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon — a door.
Jan. 9, 9:53 p.m.: Police dealt with a domestic incident on Adams St., Lawn said. [A] Watertown [man] was arrested [on] a charge of domestic assault and battery. Also, a 26-year-old woman will be summonsed to Waltham District Court on charges of domestic assault and battery. [Updated May 14, 2013 to remove the name of the accused after charges were dropped.]
Jan. 10, 5:21 p.m.: Police dealt with a domestic incident on Watertown Street, Lawn said. Christopher D. Krumrei, 33, of 20 Watertown St. Apt. 246 in Watertown, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery.
Incidents
Jan. 9, 4:33 p.m.: A Common Street resident came home and found that someone had broken a window in the back of the house just above the door lock, Lawn said. The window was broken between noon and 3 p.m., and it appears no one got into the house.
Jan. 11, 11:51 a.m.: A storage shed at Lilly’s Café on Arlington Street and took pieces of copper and four power tools, Lawn said.

How does a door constitute a weapon, much less a dangerous weapon? Is it a small door that the 26-year-old woman can use to swing it at someone’s head? Well, regardless, I am glad she did not manage to use the “dangerous weapon” to seriously injure anyone. Also, the more thefts I read about lately, it seems most thieves these days are not really able to steal much, like the culprit who stole just copper and power tools at the storage shed. Thankfully, it has not been too crazy of a week for this police officer.
