Watertown's Winter Parking Ban Ending Early

Watertown Police Chief Edward Deveau announced that the overnight parking ban will end early this year

The winter parking ban that prohibits overnight parking on Watertown streets will end on March 15.

The overnight parking ban was scheduled to end on April 1, but Watertown Police Chief Edward Deveau announced Wednesday it would end early this year.

The ban is in place to allow snow plowers to remove snow from the streets during overnight snow storms.

This is the second reprieve for town residents. The ban was lifted during the Christmas and New Year's holidays.

Wish surrounding towns only had a parking ban in the winter. Most have no parking every night of the year.
