Watertown Savings Bank is Collecting Donations for Food Pantries
Food can be dropped off at bank locations in Watertown, Waltham, Belmont, Arlington and Lexington.
The following information was released by Watertown Saving Bank:
During the month of December, Watertown Savings Bank (WSB) will hold its annual food drive for food pantries in Arlington, Belmont, Lexington, Waltham, and Watertown. Area food pantries need help more than ever this year. Collection boxes have been set up at all WSB locations:
- 60 Main Street (Watertown Square),
- 10 Bigelow Avenue (East Watertown),
- 175 Watertown Street (Nonantum),
- 45 Church Street (Watertown Drive Up),
- 739 Main Street (Warrendale),
- 30 Church Street (Waverley Square, Belmont),
- 6 Lexington Street (Waltham Center),
- 980 Mass. Ave. (Arlington), and
- 1075 Waltham Street (Lexington)
Throughout December, area residents and bank customers are invited to drop off any non-perishable, unopened food they would like to donate. Some suggestions are canned vegetables, canned fruits, stews, pie fillings, cake mixes, pancake mix and syrup, pasta sauces, peanut butter and jelly. Other items such as soap, cooking oil, coffee, tea, or hot chocolate are also needed.
Items donated to WSB’s Watertown locations will be delivered to the Watertown food pantry and St. Patrick’s food pantry; donations dropped off at the Belmont location will be brought to the Belmont food pantry; items donated to the Waltham and Warrendale locations will be delivered to the Sacred Heart food pantry in Waltham; items donated at the Arlington branch will go to the Arlington food pantry; and donations dropped off at the Lexington branch will be delivered to the Lexington food pantry.
