Boston Police officer stops assault on bus, neighbors not happy with plans for park behind Police Station and a 200-unit apartment complex just over the Waltham line.
An off-duty Boston Police officer stopped an assault on an MBTA bus that had stopped on Arsenal Street. He held the suspect until Watertown Police arrived.
Recreation Department officials revealed proposed plans to renovate the park behind the new Police Station – the former Browne School Playground – and the neighbors did not like what they saw.
Watertown High School's girls' basketball squad won its first round state tournament game, Tuesday. The season has been a complete turn around from previous years.
A 200-unit apartment complex has been proposed just over the Waltham line, behind the Stop & Shop on Pleasant Street.
An outdoor skating rink may be installed at Casey Park. The Recreation Department would like to add the rink, which would used for street hockey in warmer months, as part of improvements to the park on Watertown Street.
