Earth Hour is an international movement to highlight the need to conserve energy and reduce the effects of global warming. Earth Hour is celebrated in over 126 countries around the world. See ... earthhour.org
A great time for a romantic candle light dinner! Heighten your awareness of energy use by turning of ALL power consummers! Even the fridge will stay cold for an hour. Imagine your power meter stuck on hold. You'll save some money too!
Watertown Citizens Environmental Task Force is promoting a candle light walk from the Middle School to the Square from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. We'll carry our banner "Save Power-Earth Hour." Last year we got plenty of honks. We'll provide some candle lanterns but candles in glass jars work very well too.
After the walk we'll have a candle light desert in the Square! (Bring money!)
I hope to see many new participants this year, grow the movement!
