Early Literacy Tips, Hoarding Workshop, School Open House

A few things you need to know for Thursday, Nov. 14, in Watertown.

1. November is Family Literacy Month, and the Watertown Free Public Library has got a workshop for parents and caregivers with all sorts of early literacy tips and tricks. The even begins at 7 p.m. tonight. See how to register and more info here.

2. Watertown health officials will host a public forum on hoarding today from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Watertown Library. The meetings follow a garnering of public funds and services to help affected locals overcome their cleaning issues.

3. The Jewish Community Day School hosts an open house this evening at 7:30 p.m. This evening will give you an insider’s look at the engaging, innovative learning that students experience at JCDS. Find out more here.

4. The Church of the Good Shepherd hosts Hidden Brook - a contemplative service of candlelight, chant, prayer, silence, poetry, and music - tonight at 7 p.m. See more here.
