Mixed Use Project Proposal, Poets Speak, Senior Exercise Class

A few things you need to know for Wednesday, Nov. 13, in Watertown.

1. The Planning Board will hear a proposal to build mixed use project, which includes 65 housing units. The board meets in Town Hall at 7 p.m. See the whole agenda here.

2. The Art of the Word: A Dynamic Evening of Poetry and Art features poet Pablo Medina (author of 14 books of fiction, nonfiction, poetry and translation) and his son Pablo A. Medina, artist, inspired by the hand-painted signage of San Francisco’s Mission District. This free text + conText event begins at 7 p.m., preceded by a wine and cheese reception at 6:30 p.m. Find out more here.

3. Knitters can learn a new technique - cabling - today at the Watertown Free Public Library. Come to the library today at noon for the class. See more here.
