Watertown Youth Hockey Players Get Special Visit from the Boston Bruins

See who showed up to skate with the young players.

Watertown Youth Hockey players got a visit from some very special guest this week - three members of the Boston Bruins.

Monday night, Bruins forwards Daniel Paille, Carl Soderberg and goalie Chad Johnson surprised the Watertown players when the appeared on the ice 5 minutes into a regular Monday evening practice at John A. Ryan Arena in Watertown. They met with players on the Mite (boys and girls under 8) and Squirt (boys and girls under 10) teams.

Paille and Johnson skated on the ice with the Watertown players working with them to improve their skating, passing and stick handling skills while Soderberg, hampered by an injury, offered the players advice and posed for pictures on the bench, according to the announcement by Watertown Youth Hockey.

After the session the three Bruins stayed for autographs and chatted with the young Watertown players.  The professional players provided memories the kids will never forget.  

Watertown Youth hockey is a non-profit volunteer run organization that provides young children from Watertown the opportunity to learn how to ice skate and play ice hockey.  It offers developmental skating and hockey classes as well as travel team opportunities for young boys and girls.  More information at http://www.watertownyh.com/
