iPads in Every Hosmer Elementary Classroom

Keeping pace with evolving technology, the Hosmer Elementary School PTO reached deep into its reserve funds to buy every classroom an iPad and LCD projector. Fully loaded with educational apps and programs, the iPads will be delivered to each teacher during summer vacation so that they can become acquainted with this technology before the new school year. The LCD projectors, adaptors for projecting the iPad and a stand to transform the iPad into a document camera will allow teachers to use the iPads for large group instruction, as well as individualized study. This purchase follows a successful state-funded program during 2012-2013 school year in which every Kindergarten class used iPads in their classroom. This new technology helped motivate students through the use of math and literacy games. The Watertown Education Foundation contributed $1,200 to help make this purchase possible.
