Mix & Mingle to Support the Watertown Police Foundation

She were running her very first Marathon – the Boston
Marathon – and she was so close to the end -- .7 miles from the finish line – when the bombs went off last year.  This year, Back Bay resident Dawn Castillo Harper is back with a vengeance
– and a cause.

Running and raising funds for the Watertown Police Foundation, Harper is already training every day – and planning a series of fundraisers before the big 2014 Marathon Day on April 21st. Her project manager and biggest supporter, Haley Dowling is also putting all her efforts into this event. Their first fundraiser – Mix and Mingle – takes place at Donohue’s Bar and Grille in Watertown this Saturday, Feb. 22 from 5 – 8 p.m.  Says Harper, “When we thought about what the Watertown police did on April 19th last year, we realized that they are part of the reason there will be a safer Boston Marathon in 2014.  This is our way of saying thank you to all the police in Watertown."

Tickets for Mix and Mingle are $25 and can be purchased at
the door or in advance online.  Guests will also receive free raffle
tickets and complimentary appetizers. There will also be a cash bar. To purchase tickets and for more information, please click this link: http://tinyurl.com/m8den8k
