New England Revolution Honor Watertown Police Force at Salute to Heroes Night

Fans attending the New England Revolution’s match against D.C. United at Gillette Stadium on Saturday were not only on hand to show support for the team, but also to honor local service members at the Revs annual Salute to Heroes night.

Captain Raymond Dupuis of the Watertown Police Department served as the honorary captain for the match — representing the entire Watertown Police Department’s heroic efforts in apprehending the Boston Marathon bombing suspects this past April.

Through a partnership with the USO, the New England Revolution Charitable Foundation invited members of the Armed Services – including active duty members, reservists and family members from all five military branches – as well as New England police, fire and medical personnel to attend the game free of charge. In total, over 2,500 tickets were handed out to local service members and their families.
