Food and Fun Served Up at Rotary Senior Cookout

The 21st annual event was held at the Sons of Italy Hall.

The Watertown Rotary welcomed guests to its 21st annual Senior Citizens Cookout last week at the Watertown Sons of Italy.

More than 150 seniors enjoyed burgers, hot dogs, pizza, watermelon and more, according to event co-chairs Debra Boyajian and Ed Sugrue. DJ Rich Picceri and the Susan Wright Dancers entertained the Seniors after dinner.

Prizes were raffled off and everyone got a goodie bag and a Watertown Strong T-Shirt.

Twenty Rotarians volunteered to set up, cook, serve food and clean up. Watertown Savings sponsored the event and Russo’s, Dunkin’ Donuts and Papa Gino’s also contributed food. The Sons of Italy donated the hall and the Watertown Police Foundation also contributed.
