Church bells will ring in Watertown on Saturday Sept. 7 at 4:30 p.m. to mark Boston Charter Day.
The Church of the Good Shepherd and the Redeemer Fellowship churches join other historic churches in the Boston area to commemorate the naming of Boston, Watertown and Dorchester on Sept. 30, 1630.
Other churches taking part will be the Old South Meeting House in Boston, King’s Chapel in Boston and First Church in Boston.
