Watertown lost one of its shining stars, its true personalities and its favorite sons with the passing of Artie Venezia.

Artie was a family man, a good man, a coach, an athlete and a business man.

He was friendly, animated, funny, smart, frank, wiseguyish and he was loved by all.

Artie could knock you down and pick you up in one sentence. He would cheer you up if you were really down, as well.

Artie was blessed with a spark and a spirit that brought joy to others.

He made as lasting impression on all those who passed his way.

Watertown will miss Artie Venezia, but Watertown will always remember him.

Our sympathy goes out to his wife Barbara and to the large beautiful family he leaves behind.
