Owner of Watertown's Main Street Florist Offering $1,000 to Find Him a Wife

Owner Dave Greenberg is willing to pay matchmaker big money to help him settle down.

It’s never too late to find true love. A Watertown flower shop owner on Main Street is searching for a special someone to be his future wife and he’s going to great lengths to find her.

Dave Greenberg has posters up in his shop – – he made t-shirts, and even a website (MarryDave.com) devoted to finding the woman of his dreams. Dave is even willing to shell out $1,000 to the matchmaker.

What kind of woman is Dave looking for?

“I’m not picky. Obviously if she’s over 6 feet tall that might not work,” Dave said. “I’d like her to be nice, kind, funny. I’m not prejudiced against anyone.”

Dave said his website has sparked interest, even from as far away as Los Angeles. He's been divorced for more than a decade and said, “I’m not the richest guy in the world but I own a flower shop and a condo in Florida. I’m afraid of flying but I like to spend time in Florida and California. I’m not a bad looking guy either.”

Dave also owned and operated a flower shop in Waltham for more than 30 years before departing to San Diego, where he lived for a time until moving back to Massachusetts. Now he owns another successful flower shop and hopes that he can settle down soon.

The $1,000 bounty has been offered to anyone who matches Dave with his future wife, and Dave said the reward will be paid after they tie the knot.
