Panera Bread Serving Up Story Time with the Watertown Library

Children will hear a story, make arts and crafts and enjoy a snack during story time.

Panera Bread will team up with the Watertown Free Public Library to host story time for children beginning in September.

The first event at the Watertown Panera Bread, 321 Arsenal St., will be on Thursday, Sept. 5 at 10:15 a.m. Others are planned for Oct. 3, Nov. 7 and Dec. 5.

Librarians will set up in Panera and bring story books as well as arts and crafts for the children. All children will receive a complementary mini-cookie and a mini-milk after the end of story time, according to the announcement from Panera.

Stories will have baking themes including: “The Duckling Gets A Cookie?!” By Mo Willems, “The Cow Loves Cookies” by Karma Wilson. “Whopper Cake” by Karma Wilson and “Pumpkin Soup” by Helen Cooper.

Story time lasts 30-45 minutes and is limited to 15-25 children. Pre-register by calling the Watertown Free Public Library, 617-972-6435.
