Watertown Firefighters Honor Those Lost On 9-11

The bell tolled at the Watertown Fire Station for those lost on Sept. 1, 2001, especially the New York firefighters.

The ceremony Wednesday morning marked the 12th anniversary of the attacks, and the memory is still on Watertown Fire Chief Mario Orangio's mind.

"It's in the back of your mind everyday," he said. "It was a tragic loss for everybody, but in particular for the fire service."

A bell on the front of a fire engine rang in four rounds of five rings, which marks the "Last Alarm" for a firefighter, Orangio said.
