Watertown Holding Big Recycling Event

Get rid of styrofoam, hard plastics and electronics at the event.

The Watertown Department of Public Works will hold a recycling event where town residents can get rid of item such as styrofoam and electronics, as well as shredding paper.

The event will be on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the new recycling center at 76 Stanley Ave. (off Waltham Street and accessible from Green River Way).

Bring styrofoam and paper to be shredded. They recycling center also regularly accepts hard plastics (Tyke toys, kiddie pools, resin outdoor furniture) and electronics such as VCRs, printers, keyboards, hard drives, toasters, vacuum cleaners, lamps stereo speakers and VCR tapes.

You must have Watertown ID to drop off items, and no business or commercial items will be accepted.
