Watertown Police, Fire Get their Due at Thanksgiving Day Game

Members of the Police and Fire departments were honored for their work on April 19.

The Thanksgiving football game provides a time to celebrate Watertown's traditions and past accomplishments. This year the heros of the Boston Marathon Bombing Suspect manhunt received a special thank you at halftime of the game.

WHS Athletic Director Michael Lahiff, Superintendent Jean Fitzgerald and WHS Headmaster Shirley Lundberg thanked members of the Watertown Police and Fire departments, and gave them Watertown High School hats. 

The members of the Police Department honored were: Chief Edward Deveau, Sgt. John MacLellan, Officer Joe Reynolds, Officer Miguel Colon, Officer Time Menton, Officer Jean Sarkissian and Officer Mike Comick. 

The Watertown Firefighters honored were: Chief Mario Orangio, Deputy Chief Dan Tardiff, Firefighter James Caruso, Firefighter Doug Wood Firefighter Tim Donovan, Lieutenant A.J. Gaswell and Firefighter Patrick Menton.
