Watertown Residents Still Have Time to Help Shape the Town's Future

Town officials want your opinion on what you want the town to look like.

Town officials want help from Watertown residents in shaping the future of the town, and there are several ways to do so.

Town officials and the consultants from Vanasse Hangen Brustlin have been working on the Watertown Comprehensive Plan. They have used input from residents at two public forums, and submitted in other ways, to come up with the plan.

They still seek input and here are some ways to participate, according to the Watertown Planning Department. The goal is to complete the Comprehensive Plan by December.

Visit the Envision Watertown 2013 MindMixer website, which poses questions to consider and allows people to put up photos of things in town you like or would like to see come to Watertown. The site has been popular, and is one of the top 3 most active ones in the country, according to the Planning Department.

See what has been done so far in the Comprehensive Plan at an exhibit at the Watertown Free Public. The exhibit includes a draft vision statement and goals for the plan.

Updated vision and goal statements will soon go up on the project, as well as drafts of the key elements of the plan.

Finally, another public forum will be held in the Fall.
