Ways to Beat the Heat in Watertown

Temps could hit 100 degrees Friday but there are some ways to beat the heat.

The balmy weather will also impact some town recreation programs.

You can cool off with a dip in the Dealtry Pool at 138 Pleasant St. in Watertown is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Filippello Park on Grove Street in Watertown has a sprinkler park,which operates from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Watertown Free Public Library offers a pleasant air conditioned environment and at 3 p.m. Friday teens can come play video games on the Wii U, Xbox 360 or PS2.

Watertown Receation has changed some of its programs. Park instructors will not be working Friday at Victory Field, O’Connell Playground and Bemis Park.

There will be no tennis program on Friday, and the flag football program has been postponed until Friday, July 26.
