The Saint is based on a 70 book series, chronicling the exploits of Simon Templar (Rayner), a brilliant criminal who uses his considerable illicit skills as a modern-day Robin Hood as he infuriates local law enforcement and woos Patricia Holm (Dushku), his on-again, off-again romance, according to Deadline.

The Saint has been made into numerous movie and television adaptations, most recently a 1997 movie staring Val Kilmner.
