Children's Events Coming to the Watertown Mall in July

Puppets, animals and sea creatures will visit the mall this month.

Looking for activities for the kids this month, well you may want to stop by the , which will host a few events for youngsters this month.

The calendar includes puppets, cute animals and fascinating sea creatures.

On July 14, come join Wayne Martin Puppets who will bring Buford T. Dog  and his pals at a “Teddy Bears Picnic” including a man with “A Bird on His Head,” and a host of other hand puppets and marionettes at the mall. There will be three free shows at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.

A wood turtle and a screech owl from Drumlin Farm will pay a visit on July 18. Learn where they live, what they eat, and about their natural environment. The event is free, but pre-registration is required. Call 617-926-4968 ext. 21 to register.

On July 28, the New England Aquarium will bring its Traveling Tidepool to the Watertown Mall. Children can handle and observe a wide range of live animals from local waters. The tidepool will be open between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The event is free to the public.
