Restaurant Inspections: Dunkin' Donuts, Uncommon Grounds and More

See what health inspectors found at these Watertown restaurants.

The Watertown Health Department makes inspections of the town's 200-plus restaurants, supermarkets, convenience stores and more each year. They look for a variety of violations, including critical ones that could lead to food borne illness.

The inspection reports are public records. If there are violations, the inspector always returns for a follow up inspection to ensure that the violations are corrected. Establishments with repeated or serious violations are called for a hearing with the Board of Health.

Dunkin' Donuts

The Dunkin' on Main Street was inspected in September. No critical violations were found.

Kareem's Restaurant

The restaurant that recently opened on Common Street was inspected in September. No critical violations were found.

Uncommon Grounds

Inspectors went to the diner on Mt. Auburn Street in September and found a few violations, including two critical ones. Both were fixed by the time of the second inspection.

  • Potatoes were left on a storage rack.
  • Ham was stored at too warm a temperature.
  • Mouse droppings found on the floor (not critical because not near food)
Fastachi

The gourmet nut store was inspected in September. No critical violations were found.
