Back Bay Resident Named as Mount Auburn Hospital's New Chief of Ophthalmology

Mount Auburn Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Back Bay resident, Dr. Christopher Robinson, as the hospital’s new Chief of Ophthalmology. Dr. Robinson has been at the New England Eye Center at Mount Auburn Hospital since 2008 where he has been serving as the Director.

 

Dr. Robinson graduated from the Stanford University School of Medicine where he was a Howard Hughes Medical Student Fellow and Stanford Medical Scholar. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at the University Of Iowa College Of Medicine in 2007. After completing his residency, Dr. Robinson had a Medical Retina Fellowship at the Tufts- New England Eye Center.

Board Certified in Ophthalmology and the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Robinson held various Teaching Assistant roles throughout his education and is currently an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Tufts University School of Medicine. He has also co-authored multiple articles and presentations on ophthalmology and eye care.

“Dr. Christopher Robinson has been a well-regarded physician at Mount Auburn Hospital for a number of years and is the perfect candidate to now be serving as the hospital’s Chief of Ophthalmology. He is a strong administrative leader and clinician who employs the latest advancements in the diagnosis and management of retinal disease,” said Jeanette Clough, President and CEO of Mount Auburn Hospital.
