Digital History

Over at the Watertown Free Public Library we're hard at work on lots of new initiatives. You've probably heard the buzz on the community makerspace and we're excited to keep moving forward on that project! But, we still value traditional library services like preserving our local history and we want to make the history of Watertown as accessible as possible to our patrons near and far.

While you've been perusing the stacks we've been busy bees digitizing parts of our local history collection. One exciting step we've made is digitizing Watertown High School Yearbooks. We have yearbooks from 1925-2004 and we're working on getting them digitized. You can see the yearbook from 1932 right here.

The collection isn't complete. If you have a yearbook from a year we don't have we would welcome your donation. Not ready to let go of your high school memento? We'd gladly borrow your copy and return it if you'd be willing to lend it to us.

Check out our other digitization projects here, and be sure to follow our growing collection of digital Watertown history.
