Donate Money to Fight Cancer and Get a Free Ice Cream

The effort to raise money for Dana Farber will take place at Stop and Shop Supermarkets.

Donate $1 to fight pediatric cancer and you can receive a free cup of ice cream.

Edy's Ice Cream will be holding a fundraising day for the fight against pediatric today, April 28, at Stop & Shop stores. Contribute $1 to receive a free single-serve ice cream cup. Several popular brands of single-serve ice cream cups, shakes and smoothies will be available, including Häagen-Dazs, Edy's Slow Churned light ice cream, and Skinny Cow low fat ice cream. 

Those who make a $3 contribution will also receive a limited edition Triple Winner keepsake.

Stop & Shop's New England Division will donate 100 percent of the proceeds to the Stop & Shop Family Pediatric Brain Tumor Clinic at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. 

In addition, Edy's ice cream brand will donate 5 cents for every single serve cup, shake or smoothie sold between April 13 and June 7, with no limitation on the amount donated during this timeframe.

Last year, Edy's helped to raise $186,000, and it hopes to raise even more this year.
