Five Things You Need to Know Today: Dec. 29

Life-sized board games, classic movie at the Senior Center and dodge ball.

  1. Children in grades K to 5 can head over to the Watertown Free Public Library at 11 a.m. today to play . Registration is required.
  2. The Senior Center will show starring Claudette Colbert and Clark Gable today at 1 p.m.
  3. Middle and high school students can come to the Hosmer School for a game of dodge ball tonight. Grade 6 begins at 6 p.m. and grade 9 starts at 7:45 p.m. The games are played under the supervision of the recreation staff.
  4. Boston Sports Club hosts its School's Out program today beginning at 9 a.m. Kids ages 3-15 can enjoy a day of fun, swimming and activities.
  5. Folk Arts Center of New England will hold a folk dance program tonight at 8 p.m. at First Parish of Watertown. Prior international folk dance experience is helpful, but many dances can be followed by watching the leaders.
