Five Things You Need to Know Today: Election Day

The Town Election today, WHS teams in tourney action and live jazz.

  1. It's time to vote, Watertown, polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. See Patch's coverage of the election, which includes a race for the School Committee and a write-in candidate for at-large Town Councilor. beginning at 8:30 p.m.
  2. . The field hockey team heads to Reading High School to face Winchester in the section semifinal, while the girls' soccer team faces Mystic Valley Charter in the section quarterfinal in Malden.
  3. The Watertown Freee Public Library presents today at 3:15 p.m. Children must be comfortable separating from their caregiver, and registration is required.
  4. Seniors can have their today from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Watertown Senior Center. The SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) program is a free program funded by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs.
  5. Enjoy music at Stellina Restaurant tonight from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. There is no cover charge and reservations are not needed.
