Five Things You Need to Know Today: Feb. 22

Zoning Board discusses five-story proposal for Summer Street, a new moms support group and Project Literacy gathers to watch a movie.

 

  1. The Zoning Board of Appeals will discuss a proposal to build a five-story assisted living facility at 20 Summer Street. The board meets tonight at 7 p.m. in the Council Chamber in Town Hall.
  2. The Watertown Family Network hosts a new moms support group today at 9 a.m. The free weekly group is open to new parents and babies - birth to one year old.
  3. Project Literacy students can practice their English skills with other past and present students, and then watch the movie "Groundhog Day," at the Watertown Free Public Library at 6 p.m. Bring your own snack or dinner.
  4. The Watertown Mall hosts The Museum of Science today at 10 a.m. Children and paretns can hear "A World of Bridges: An Engineering Tale" read aloud and meet two best friends as they try to build a bridge across the stream separating their homes.
  5. Seniors can get income tax preparation assistance at the Senior Center, today from noon to 3 p.m.
