Five Things You Need to Know Today: May 10

Election Day for the 10th Middlesex district, a financial seminar at the library and line dancing at the senior center.

  1. Folks on the west end of town will go to the polls today. Voters in Precinct 10 will casting their ballots at the Police Station in the race for the 10th Middlesex state representative seat between and . Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  2. The Watertown Free Public Library hosts a program for small business owners, tonight at 6 p.m.
  3. Manny Carerra teaches a at the Senior Center. Line dancing helps with memory and balance, plus it's a good workout. The class begins at 11:15 p.m.
  4. . The boys' and girls' track teams both face Melrose today at Victory Field. The softball team takes on Burlington at Filippello Park, and the boys' lacrosse team hosts Winchester at Hosmer Field.
  5. The Senior Center's group meets weekly for support and to socialize. Individuals may weigh in, exercise, and discuss nutrition with long-time volunteer Evelyn Casey.
