Five Things You Need to Know Today: Sept. 14

The Planning Board meets, "Rent" at the Arsenal Center and a new mom support group.

  1. There's a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9 a.m., otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 84, the National Weather Service forecasts.
  2. at 7 p.m. The meeting will be in the Council Chamber on the second floor of Town Hall.
  3. The New Repertory Theatre presents the classic musical "Rent" today. The Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical by Jonathan Larson will go on stage at at the Arsenal Center for the Arts.
  4. Seniors looking to keep active can go to the Watertown Senior Center for the class. The program includes muscle strengthening, light stretching, and low impact aerobics, and is focused on the needs of seniors in a fun and safe environment. The class runs from 11 a.m. to noon, and costs $3 per class.
  5. The Watertown Family Network hosts a today at 9 a.m. The free weekly group is open to new parents and babies - birth to one year old.
