How to Get Rid of Your Tree and Other Holiday Items in Watertown

Take out your tree and bring your refuse to the recycling event.

The time has come to bid farewell to the holidays and get rid of those Christmas trees, and all the wrapping and packaging from the presents given over the holidays.

Trees: 

The town will collect Christmas trees in January, so start putting them out on your regular trash collection days through the the month.

The Public Works Department is teaming with the Watertown Recycling Advisory Board to host a Post Holiday Paper Shredding event where they will also collect styrofoam, hard plastics, cardboard and tires (without rims). The event will be held Jan. 5, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Public Works Facility, 124 Orchard St. in Watertown.
