Patch Blogs: Watertown Savings Collecting for Troops, Victims of Hurricane Sandy

Watertown Savings Bank is collecting items to send to servicemen and women overseas through Operation American Soldier. The group, based at the Marine Corps League Shutt Detachment, sends care packages around the globe. Blogger Kelly Cronin has details for the type of items the group is looking for. See more here. 

Kelly also wrote about Watertown Savings Bank's fund raising for victims of Hurricane Sandy. The bank will match donations up to $5,000, and will send it to the American Red Cross. For more details, see Kelly's blog.

Charlie Shapiro of Newton wrote that he supported Tom Sheff in the Governor's Council race. The election was Tuesday, and Sheff lost to Watertown's Marilyn Pettito Devaney. Read Charlie's blog here.
