Winter Storm Watch Issued, Snow in Watertown on Wednesday and Thursday

Forecasters say 1 to 3 inches of snow could fall Wednesday night and into Thursday in th Watertown area..

Forecasters predict Watertown could get snow and sleet Wednesday into Thursday, with a few inches of snow accumulation.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the Boston area that includes Watertown. Snow would begin Wednesday, mostly after 2 p.m., with less than half an inch of accumulation. Light snow would continue Wednesday night through noon Thursday before switching to rain. Accumulation overnight could be 1 to 3 inches. A bit more snow could then fall Thursday night.

Heavier snow is expected to the north and west of Boston.
