Watertown's Victory Field to be Rededicated during 9/11 Commemoration

The newly renovated field will be the site of the town's ceremony marking the anniversary of Sept. 11, 2010.

On Sunday, Sept. 9, will be the site for Watertown's remembrance of Sept. 11, 2010, and the recently renovated field will also be rededicated that day.

Director of Recreation Peter Centola announced the ceremony this week. In recent years, the has been held in Saltonstall Park, next to Town Hall. This year it will move to the field which reopened last fall for the .

, with a new artificial turf installed over last summer, and new baseball stands constructed. The field originally opened in 1922.

The rededication and 9/11 remembrace will begin at 11 a.m. on Sept. 9, 2012 at Victory Field.
