Week in Review: Property Taxes Rising, Night Out Lands Brothers in Legal Trouble

Watertown residents will see their property tax bills rise next year after the Town Council approved the Fiscal 2013 tax levy and rates. See details here.

A night out at 21 Nickels Grille and Tap got out of control and landed a pair of brothers in legal trouble after one hit the other with a beer glass. 

Watertown Square lit up with holiday lights this week during the first annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony, sponsored by the Watertown Belmont Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Watertown. Santa also made a special appearance. See photos from the event here. 

A store manager got a surprise when he chased a shoplifter out of his jewelry store in the Arsenal Mall. The suspect turned on him and pulled a pair of scissors on the manager.

Beacon School officials may seek legal action to try to prevent their property, which includes the historic Orchard House, from being turned into a historic district.
