Week in Review: School Security Post Newtown, Flu Shots Still Available

School security has been a priority for the Watertown schools — both before and after the Connecticut school shootings, school officials say. Read more about how the town schools prepare for emergencies.

A plan to start road repairs in town by April may have hit a road block. The work may still be able to start earlier than in 2012, when it began in September.

Watertown's elementary school students may soon have the chance to learn a foreign language. A task force recommended that the district start an immersion program, where students would spend the whole day speaking and being taught in a foreign tongue.
